IRIX SR Edge Magnetic Black Mist Overview

This1/2-gradeIrix SR Series Edge MMS Black Mist Magnetic Filter reduces the contrast and overall intensity of lights in your images. This filter is made from high-strength tempered optical glass and has a magnetic aluminum alloy ring that attaches only to Irix Cine lenses. Multilayer antireflective coatings and nano coatings on both sides render this filter resistant to oil, water, and fingerprints.

This filter is designed to be used exclusively with IRIX Cine lenses which have an outer diameter of 95mm. MMS IRIX filters magnetically snap onto your Cine lens without a filter thread. Black mist filters can be used to create a subtle halo around light sources or can lessen the appearance of wrinkles or other skin imperfections of subjects. In landscape photography, this filter can create a romantic mood or it can highlight lights in night images.
